Privacy policy

Short version: I keep basic visit stats for this site, I don't sell or share them, and you can switch them off.

What's recorded

When you open the site, a small script on this site (no third-party analytics) records one entry per visit:

  • the time of the visit, the pages you open, and where you came from (the referring site);
  • your IP address and the rough location your network provider exposes (country, region, city);
  • how far you scroll, how long the tab stays open and visible, and which sections you reach;
  • clicks on things like the resume, projects, posts, email and outbound links, and whether you send the contact form;
  • your browser's user agent, screen size, language and timezone.

What it's for

Only to see whether people find the site useful: which projects get read, where visitors come from, and whether the resume gets opened. No ads, no profiling, no selling or sharing.

Cookies and storage

No tracking cookies. Your browser stores your choice on the privacy notice (rp_consent) and the light/dark theme in local storage. The only cookie is the admin's sign-in cookie, used on /admin only.

Where it lives

The site runs on Vercel behind Cloudflare. Visit entries are stored in an Appwrite database that only I can access. Messages from the contact form are emailed to me.

Opting out

Choose “No thanks” on the notice, or use the button below. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, nothing is recorded.

Your data

To have your entries deleted, or to ask what was recorded, email [email protected] with roughly when you visited (and your IP if you know it).
